The Detroit Thinking

I've spent the last several days responding to emails, questions and requests for interviews by the media on the heels of Chrysler's announcement to close dealerships, or as they technically say, to "reject franchise agreements." I hope you take a look at this C-Span broadcast that is a good summary of what's going on, and what this means to consumers.

Congratulations for a clear-thinking, well-informed interview on C-SPAN this morning.

Related to the caller's comments about his Saturn, my fourth Saturn (third one bought used) is a 1997 SC1, a two-door coupe. It has 193,000 miles on it, but I bought it with 98,000 miles on it.

The car consistently gets 33 mpg between fill-ups. I don't think I can qualify for the better-mileage upgrade, or can I?

Ever since one of your Frederick staff was kind enough to help out in a collision that totaled my first Saturn, I've been thinking of returning the favor by shopping at FitzMalls.
